Due to the increasing need of people especially those who travel a lot to have quick processed passports, the uk government has come up with a way that the passport process can be renewed withing a very short period. It is quite evident that, passport renewals have been ignore by a lot of people and this becomes a necessity only when they want to travel and the time is not on their side. Well, this once happened to me when I was to go for a vacation with my family over in the Bahamas. Yes, I knew that I needed to renew my passport by I did not actually take it that serious. When it was just but two weeks to the travel date, I remembered that I was to renew it and therefore had to contact the passport renewal enquiry department for the full details on what I am supposed to do. I was advised to pay slightly more processing fees so that, I can get the passport in like a week or so. Since I had no option, I just payed the extra fees and the passport was processed in a week. It is always advisable also to log on to the immigration site so as to familiarize yourself with this things. So, if you are to travel or take a vacation, it is very important to ensure that you have your passport ready. Nowadays, it goes up to 10 years of validity and for the children's passports, they go up to 5 years.
